Nestled inside the 5 Star Merchant Hotel, Berts Jazz Bar offers you a chance to escape back to the 1920’s - to the era of the speakeasy. In 2018, I was tasked with bringing to life the ideas of the highly talented cocktail team, and so came to be the Berts Mixed Drinks Book - Volume One.

The idea behind this cocktail book was to incapsulate the bon vivant lifestyle associated with era that was the roaring 20’s - this was your passport back to that time. I implemented a new illustrative style and gave Berts its own personality to help it stand out from The Merchant.
